A day out at Bicester Village

A day out at Bicester Village has everything you could want. Whether you intend to splash the cash or simply love a good day out, then Bicester has everything to offer. This designer outlet is modelled like a life-size doll’s house and the so-called strip has an endless variety of picturesque boutiques, both designer and high-end high street stores. From Ted Baker to Prada and Valentino, there is something for everyone (oh and of course a Pret a Manger for limitless coffee’s to keep you going)!

My mum, myself and my sister love a good day at Bicester Village and having bought my very first Michael Kors bag there, it seems to have become a tradition. The discounts are fabulous and too enticing that you always have that niggle to spend more money than you intend.

My favourite go-to store at Bicester is The Cosmetics Company and every time I visit, I seem to always walk out with a new product to add to my make-up collection. With brands such as Mac, Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder on offer, this time I bought myself a beautiful Mac lip liner and Estee Lauder pressed powder – for a bargain price of £27 altogether (can’t go wrong).

As many of my friends can vouch for me, shoes and bags are a particular weakness. I love a good pair of court heels, perfect for any occasion; whether it be for an interview, wedding or party. Rupert Sanderson has some beautiful shoes and for the bargain price of £99, reduced from £440, I am the proud new owner of these beautiful patent red wine court heels.

Lunch always comes around quickly and having been to one of Soho House’s popular restaurants Pizza East on Thursday, Bicester has welcomed The Farmshop. The menu focuses on rustic british food, with hearty brunch dishes to old fashioned-classics. Paying tribute to the Oxfordshire countryside, the decor is classically rustic with cobblestone floors, barn doors with exposed wood and beams at every corner and a beautiful outdoor terrace.

Next up is the traditional walk up to Prada and what an amazing trip that was! Unlike Michael Kors which is on-trend and only a season behind runway, Prada does not often bring up-to-date seasonal collections. I walked into Prada and my sister and I were amazed to see the bags of our dreams on the shelves. I have been in love with the Prada Saffiano bags for a long time and with a retail price tag of £1500 upwards, I always knew it would be a future purchase when it was relatively more affordable. Prada at Bicester had these bags in a number of colours and shapes and it was a no brainer! I decided to go with the caramel and my sister got it in a slightly different style and in blue. It may have been a little extravagant and expensive but forever will it now be a long term investment!
