The Golden Globes 2017 was at the centre of media press on Sunday night in Los Angeles, highlighting it was a truly golden night for Brits in particular!
The thrilling bio epic starring Clare Foy as Queen Elizabeth II in the new Netflix series, The Crown snatched up a number of awards on the night, including best actress. The Night Manager, with the nation’s favourite hottie, Tom Hiddleston also won an award, alongside Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman, proving once again he was the right man for the job. And of course the night was not complete without La La Land winning all seven of their nominations, breaking the record for the largest amount of awards won on the night. La La Land has already stunned viewers, and in only a positive way with its leading actors, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling collecting their coveted leading actor trophies.
And of course the Golden Globes 2017 is not without the winners of the red carpet fashion. So let’s take a look at the best of the Golden Globes 2017 fashion. Every year, the Golden Globes kicks off the award season and fashion enthusiasts await the trends that emerge from the first red carpet of the year. Every year, there is always that pop of colour, no one anticipates to strike a chord with editors, but always seems to impress. This year, the plight of the yellow daffodil was in full bloom, with stars such as Maisie Williams, Natalie Portman, Viola Davis and Reese Witherspoon sporting the daring colour. Fairytale tulle and goddess-inspired caped sleeves were next on the trend setting list, alongside the much anticipated head-to-toe sequins. Other celebrities were pretty in pink, such as Clare Foy and Felicity Jones. Yet Emma Stone was a vision in Maison Valentino, in a romantic tulle dress, adorned with embellished cosmo stars, delicate straps and a plunging neckline, giving her that ethereal and feminine look.
Perhaps the red carpet trends of the Golden Globes 2017 will become an inspiration for the leading actors and actresses hoping to scoop up an Oscar on February 26.
