Fashion let loose! The Bafta dresses 2015

Celebrity Dresses BAFTA 2015

Actors, directors, producers and writers descended onto the red carpet for Sunday night’s BAFTA Awards but I have titled it for this article, Fashion let loose! The Bafta dresses 2015. Celebrities were clad in the finest dresses and tuxedos and on the same night of the Grammy’s in Los Angeles, there was bound to be an element of fashion competition.

Let’s round-up the crème de la crème of the BAFTAS and who walked away with the best red carpet style of the night.

Rosamund Pike having only given birth a few months ago was stunning in a laidback, simple black Roland Mouret number. After a somewhat disaster at the Golden Globes, Pike’s black gown is classic but we are expecting the wow factor at the Oscars.

Keira Knightley is one to admire as it is not easy putting glamour into dressing a baby bump. We applaud her style choice in a floral purple Giambattista Valli gown and with a modern midi-length hemline and a voluminous skirt, it was difficult to tell she was expecting.

I love Felicity Jones. For someone as young as she is, she manages to pull off red carpet styles that do not match her age. Her dress was unique as she stepped out in Dior with a lilac floral-embellished skirt and black top. The dress was from the spring 2013 Haute Couture collection by Raf Simons for Christian Dior.

All eyes were on Eddie Redmayne winning best actor for his role in The Theory of Everything, but the media had their eyes on his wife Hannah Bagshawe who wore a dark grey heavily embellished Valentino gown with a gold clutch, cupped feathered sleeves and a collar.

Reese Witherspoon has so far not failed to impress. Bringing a touch of demure old Hollywood glamour, Reese was beautiful in a bold violet Stella McCartney gown complete with a plunging neckline and fishtail train. Reese was the epitome of elegance and simplicity, accessorising with a simple diamond bracelet and loose swept beach waves.

Once again Amy Adams nailed her red carpet style in a white Lanvin gown with a diamante-embellished belt around her waist with a loose tassel. With a box clutch to match and her hair straightened to perfection, Amy Adams is one to watch for the Oscars.

Julianne Moore having won an award for best actress at the BAFTAS had heads rolling in a fiery red Tom Ford gown with a plunging neckline for added sex appeal and femininity.
