One of the high street’s most popular retailer, Matalan has announced its collaboration with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, to raise much-needed funds to deliver the life changing research to help children who suffer from arthritis, cancer and diabetes.
The campaign is the third in its charitable venture and has so far raised more than £1.3million so far for the charity. The campaign is entitled #GetYourStripes and 100% of the profits made from sales will go entirely to the charity.
The campaign is set to add a touch of magic and sparkle to the impending festive season as customers can feel all warm and fuzzy in one of Matalan’s official Alder Hey stripy pyjamas and accessories. You can choose from a range of red, white and green striped pyjamas to help enjoy the seasons festivities. The range can be bought and worn for anyone and everyone; including your feline friends. The collection is available online, with prices starting from £2-£10.
Alder Hey is a charity dedicated to caring for their 275,000 patients and families. Jason Hargreaves, Matalan CEO has commented:
‘Now in its third year, I am incredibly proud of our partnership with Alder Hey Children’s Charity. The work the charity is doing is so important, the partnership allows us to be part of something truly special, family is at the heart of our business so to be able to support such a worthy cause is an honour. We are confident that we can make this year’s campaign even bigger and better with the help of our fantastic customers and of course some supportive celebrities!’
Louise Barrett, Head of Corporate and Major Giving for the charity is excited about the collection and campaign.
‘Matalan’s continued support is invaluable for the work we do. With the money raised so far, we have been able to invest heavily into our research centre, which is having a direct and positive impact on our patients. Through this collaboration with Matalan it has also helped raise national awareness for the work we are doing across the hospital.’
