Over Christmas I was lucky enough to receive this lovely little gift set from L’Occitane. This was the first time I had ever used their products and I must say, I think I may have fallen just a little bit in love.
Having psoriasis, I suffer with sensitive skin; however I have found these products to be really nourishing for me. My favourite is the small pot of ‘Concentre De Lait’ melting cream. I use this mainly on my face, morning and evening as a moisturiser and have enjoyed using it so much so that I had to buy another before I run out! It leaves my skin feeling really soft and fresh with powerful almond extracts that help the skin look smoother and firmer and most importantly leaves your skin hydrated for 48 hours. The melting cream contains almond nut which is renowned for its ability to soften and smooth the skin. The best part – it smells delicious and leaves my skin feeling gorgeously fresh.
Another product that I had never discovered before is the Amande supple skin oil. I tend to use this as part of my evening routine, again on my face, and find that it leaves my skin firmer and silky smooth. You only need to use it sparingly, a little goes a long way. I use a cotton bud to dab this on my cheekbones, forehead and around my nose and then massage it in using a circular motion and I have really noticed a difference in the morning. The skin oil is made up of 50% almond oil and ensures your skin feels baby smooth and nourished. The oil has an ideal combination of almond oil, camellia oil and is highly rich in omegas 3 and 6, which in turn leaves your skin firmer and tighter. When applied it leaves a smooth finish and there’s no need to worry about any oily residue left over.
I also love the fact that this set comes in a gorgeous little weekend bag, so handy for taking your beauty essentials with you on the go. For myself and I’m sure, many of you reading this will know, hand creams are a hand-bag must-have. The Almond delicious hands (travel size) is a staple addition to your travelling luggage. Enriched with almond milk and oil, the cream is a great way of nourishing and softening your hands. I love this hand cream as it’s non-greasy and has a creamy texture that dries instantly and of course, leaves my hands smelling amazing.
All in all I have found my first experience of L’Occitane to have been fabulous for my skin and will definitely be going to have a nosey at the other treats they have to offer!
