To celebrate 40 years of Brent Cross, north London’s biggest urban beach has returned for another epic summer of fun and games, and hopefully sun! So why not spend summer at the beach Brent Cross.
Having opened in 2015, the beach at Brent Cross created the ultimate day out, without needing to travel hours to the beach. So the beach at Brent Cross is all about packing your essentials, wearing your swimwear and enjoying a few drinks, whilst entertaining the kids for an entire day of fun! The Beach is open until 4th September, giving families, couples and grandparents the opportunity to enjoy the beach in all its glory for an entire summer! The Beach is made from 250 tones of golden sand, covering a whopping 2,500m2, decked with, well…deck chairs, parasols and a paddling pool. There is truly everything for everyone – from rollarcoasters to the carousel, and a couple of bars to treat the adults to a glass of pimms or two.
There is a wide range of rides, including a water ride and bumper cars, and the beach is ideal for thrill seekers! The best part – entry is only £3, and you can spend as long as you could possibly want soaking up the rays of sunshine.
Speaking of Rays of Sunshine, Brent Cross has partnered with the fabulous charity to raise money to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children aged three to 18, by granting wishes and organising large scale events! For the first time, the beach at Brent Cross will also screen this year’s highlights from the sporting world, including Wimbledon and the Olympics action straight from the shores of Rio. There is entertainment for everyone – from Brazilian dancers, stilt walkers and fire artists; and hopefully the sunshine will be on our side! There is also a variety of food and drink stalls; from the traditional British fish and chips, to the funfair favourites of popcorn, candy floss, slush puppies and sweets!
Tom Nathan, general manager at Brent Cross has commented: ‘What better way to kick-start the summer than with a visit to the Brent Cross urban beach. Whether you visited last year or not, join us for the ultimate beach day out in London and help us celebrate a fantastic summer of sport.”
The bonus – if you need a break from the sand, or wish to get a few errands completed, Brent Cross shopping centre is only a few minutes from the beach, with more than 120 stores.
So why wait – The Beach at Brent Cross is open!
I loved it – I hope you will too!
